There are a lot of Student Radio stations in the UK, but there is only one Storm FM. We are different in that we recognise that there is a vibrant community outside of the student campuses, in fact a significant population of young people live in the Manchester area. Only one station can offer exciting and innovative programming for a wide variety of interests and tastes of both students and the wider community of Manchester and Salford.
Based in studios just off Oxford Road in the centre of the Manchester student community, Storm FM is run entirely by enthusiastic volunteers from all four of the Greater Manchester Universities. The station is overseen by an executive committee and draws from the creative and technical talents of over 300 members.
