Born out of the city centre's bar culture before drum 'n' bass was accepted by the clubs in Manchester. The 'Future Sound' Friday nighter at Manchester's Music Box was born out of 'Knowledge' - one of Manchester's first weekly Drum 'n' bass nights, and the irregular but notorious 'Marlarkey Sound System' warehouse parties....
Future Sound prides itself on booking DJ/Producers at the cutting edge of the 'Scene.' For the launch of the club, the great Dego - who's label 'Reinforced' reinvented Hardcore /D'n'B- was brought to Manchester.. a first for the City.
Following this trend, Randall and Andy C - The AWOL Tag Team, who are surely held in the same regard as that of Grooverider and Fabio in the Rage days, were booked.
Continuing to bring the sounds of the future and mixing the different styles of 21st Century music, the 'Tek Step' sound of Ed Rush was set against the rollin' Bristol sound backdrop of DJ Die.
Pushing the boundaries of this genre, Future Sound have since booked DJs such as Bryan Gee, DJ Kane, Bailey, Future Forces and DJ Fierce, as well as the DJs and producers leading the Manchester Scene.
