Juicy Lucy and Big Vern's 'Indie-Plus'

Storm FM Tuesday night 2am to 7am

Special Solid Trans-Atlantic New-Wave Easy Psychadelic Northern Soul Folk-Pop Moods.

Wednesday morning 2am eternal and half of Manchester is sleeping soundly. As for the rest: "We've got a kebab. Have you?" In dark kitchens and sleazy lounges people pause as radio signals stir and begin to swell. Slumbering in rooms with big windows where the streetlights splash through the gaps in the curtains onto the walls, faces under pillows turn half-concious to the call. Guitars ring out provoking, challenging, comforting, sweetly tasting just like your first kiss. After the club, the rest of the night goes slow-mo, as Manchester's night-cats settle in, lights dimmed, and roll at fat one for the Fridge: the chill out slot for forty minutes, from four. Rolling into breakfast-time the tempo begins to pick up, the garden gathers dew for early-morning feet and like milkmen we deliver.

Juicy Lucy and Big Vern's 'Indie-Plus' is Special Solid Trans-Atlantic New-Wave Easy Psychadelic Northern Soul Folk-Pop Moods. That's news, views, art, culture, film, spoken word, drums, night-life, gigs, random strangers from the street and a singing weatherman. Lonely, depressed, can't sleep? Stay up late during March for Juicy Music and Big Words.

"No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn." (Jim Morrisson)
