The Information Hour

Curry house of the week, out and about in town and a sample of Manchester's infamous Nightime scene.  Information hour is THE GUIDE to what is going on in the world of the student.  The hints and secrets for the Fresher and the hidden gems for the unadventurous veteran.

Every Monday at midday, Mel Woodbridge and Becky Overton will be telling you how to make the most of being a student in Manchester. Society guides, sporty suggestions, a helping hand with health and welfare and of course a few classic Manchester tunes.  So tune in to 106.2 Storm FM to hear the velvet voices on the Information hour.

We’ll also be giving you a quick guide on how to get involved in University affairs. The ins and outs of how to get elected onto the Union exec. Interviews with members of the cream of University societies.  A guide to enhancing your CV by writing for the University newspapers, and above all - what to do if you want to hear your voice on the airwaves on 106.2 Storm FM.

On day one there's a special feature on how NOT to ruin your Fresher's week by getting pregnant. In our second and third programmes we look at the problems of drug and alcohol abuse and where to go for confidential advice.

For free papadoms and a bargain meal, tune in to the Information Hour for our regular feature, Curry House of the Week. Each week one of Rusholme’s infamous Indian restaurants will be giving an exclusive deal to listeners of Storm FM.
